The Very Persuasive Conservation Coach
Teaching grownups to take environmental action for Lower Platte South NRD.
The Lower Platte South NRD does a lot of the heavy lifting when it comes to environmental conservation in and around Lincoln, Nebraska, but they needed a way to convince the citizens of the natural resources district to start playing a larger role. Meet the Conservation Coach: a character developed to inspire citizens to swap their daily actions to more environmentally-friendly solutions.
In a series of six videos, we focused on certain conservation topics: general environmental education, water preservation and flood management efforts. These videos were broadcast in local markets and ran on social media reaching over 47,000 people across Facebook and Instagram, garnering nearly 75,000 impressions.
The series was so successful that LPSNRD hosted bike-a-long events with the Coach, expanded the campaign with mini vlogs from the Coach and will launch a second installment of the campaign in summer 2020.
