Aurora Cooperative
To Sell Seed, You Plant a Big Idea
How to bring a forgotten ag product back to the modern market.
Like a dormant volcano, Prairie Valley was pure brand power waiting to be uncorked. Aurora Coop challenged us with reviving the 50-year-old seed brand by coming up with some standout packaging and a big kickoff video to boot. We chose to make something that said as much about the people as it did the product.
This campaign became a tribute to the collective heritage of hard work, which ag producers proudly uphold. We showed customers that we understand what they do goes way deeper than the topsoil they till and far beyond their fields.
It inspired our tagline: Grow Without Limits.

"We pitched a very basic concept to redthread for our new Prairie Valley seed bag design. We were impressed with the out-of-the-box thinking that went into designing our new bags. From using aerial imagery of fields to using an ascending diagonal, much thought and purpose was put behind every element of the design to reflect our brand and help us to create a bag unique to the industry setting us apart from our competition. The design work was exceptional but the team is always a joy to work with. I have worked with other agencies where I feel like they don’t listen to my feedback but with redthread they take all of our edits into consideration and find a way to make every design work for us. They give us that hometown feel we are looking for in a partner."
